Description

Java Black Bamboo Poles from Indonesia make a great alternative to our usual Natural Black Poles. These poles have a more solid colour and their nodes are a lot further apart and less defined than those of the Natural Black poles. They have a dark brown colour with a matt skin. Great for all decorative applications.

The internal ‘nodes’ (pieces of material at each joint) can easily be knocked out with a small hammer or chizel. If you require these to be knocked out, then please contact us to arrange this.

Storage and aftercare: Please note if using the bamboo halves in an exterior project, you will need to coat the inside of each half pole with a wood preservative prior to installation. Please store the bamboo halves somewhere clean and dry until you are ready to install.

Cut

4m split pole, 1 x 3m + 1 x 1m, 2 x 2m, 4 x 1m

PLEASE NOTE: The diameter stated is measured at the widest end of the cane. Due to the way in which bamboo is grown and cut, it is normal for the canes to taper; whilst most canes will only taper down by a few millimetres, they can taper up to 60% in extreme cases. Each pole is expected to be within +/-20% of the range diameter it is sold in. Bamboo is a natural product and is subject to cracking, splitting & discolouration, none of which will affect its structural properties
